Completion of new Olivia Hospital & Clinics Medical Center with on-site MRI and Helipad. Ribbon cutting ceremony and opening.
2014
Property for the new Medical Center is purchased, groundbreaking event is held and construction begins. RCH&C Awarded the Acute Stroke Ready Hospital designation.
2013
Renville County Commissioners approve the building of the new Olivia Hospital and Clinic Medical Center by a vote of 5-0.
2007
Renville County Hospital purchases Prairie Family Practice and becomes Renville County Hospital & Clinics.
2002
Renville County Hospital designated Critical Care Access Hospital.
1996
Outpatient and Emergency Room renovation complete.
1995
Renville County Hospital and emergency helicopter service sign contract.
1984
Surgical and Obstetrical Addition.
1979
Renville County Hospital Lab and X-ray renovation complete.
1975
Open house for new Renville County Hospital renovation. Tours conducted by Hospital Auxiliary.
1974
County Board voted to proceed with construction of a new in-patient wing and remodeling of Renville County Hospital.
1960s
Olivia, Hector, Bird Island, Renville and Fairfax establish emergency ambulance services.
1951
New 41 bed Renville County Hospital dedicated.
1946
The Project of the Hospital in Olivia placed on ballot for Renville County Residents.
1940s
Penicillin comes into use.
1930s
Physicians establish offices to treat patients. Emergency cases taken by family car to larger hospitals outside of Renville County.
1900s
Doctors made house calls and received payment in the form of food and physical labor. Nursing becomes professionalized.
1855
Renville County established by an Act of Minnesota Legislature.
